What a Trip!

wheee! You ran a marathon.  Mastered the headstand in yoga.  Scaled Kilimanjaro.  And completed a century ride last month.

Yup – you’re at the top of your game.  Now what?

How about recapturing the ‘newbie awe’, that sweet sensation when you were just starting out and the thrill was in mastering the basics?  Witness that excitement first hand when you volunteer with Trips for Kids, a non-profit that introduces the fun of mountain biking to inner-city youths.  And along the way, these kids are on the trail towards improved confidence, heightened self-respect and an appreciation for Mother Nature.

Trips for Kids was founded by Marilyn Price, a Mountain Bike Hall of Fame inductee, who wanted to give disadvantaged kids the opportunity to enjoy nature while learning valuable life skills.  There are 50 chapters across Canada and the United States and combined, they have introduced mountain biking to more than 33,500 kids.

Trips for Kids outfits the kids with bikes, helmets and equipment.  But they need inspiring volunteers like you to make it happen.  Connect with your local chapter to see how you can make a difference.  No local chapter?  Then start your own – the supportive folks at Trips for Kids, have lots of resources to get you up and running.

No matter how you help, you’ll be making a positive impact.

Ensuring that you stay at the top of your game.
